A Noble Attempt...

Well, I was in the process of making home made Veggie Burgers from my new cookbook, until the cat decided to attempt to jump onto the table. He grabbed the place mat that my ingredients bowl just happened to be sitting on. There was nothing I could do, before I knew it it had hit the floor.

So, I made a toasted turkey sandwich with Mrs. Dash Original Blend seasoning on the meat and home made french fries cut on my new mandolin and seasoned with Soul Food.

It was good, but not a Veggie Burger like I had hoped.

The Salad of One's Own Garden...

Tonight's dinner was light and refreshing. It was a simple salad.

A bed of shredded lettuce surrounded by baby carrots on the plate's edge, topped with a non-fat Catalina dressing.

Quick, simple, and made with just three little ingredients most everyone keeps.

The name came to me as I was waiting for the page to come up. How amazing would it be to grow your own vegetables? To just walk outside in your back yard and pick your ingredients fresh from the ground. What a refreshing idea, to know that you grew the foods you eat, and know that they are pure and natural.

No Home Made Cooking Tonight....

Today was my day out.

My parents took me to the Bistro for breakfast. I had Crepes Crepes. They were filled with cherries and very delicious with a nice cup of hot coffee.

For lunch my boyfriend Dusty had Chinese and I had a Subway sandwich. Since we both got different things we had one of our famous picnics in the car.

For supper, left over Veggie Stir Fry.

So, today was my splurge day, which means tomorrow will be super healthy. :)

Veggie Stir Fry

A creative and healthy approach to Chinese take-out.

A festive mix of zucchini, bell peppers, onions, and carrots. Sautéed using PAM no stick spray and seasoned with Mrs. Dash Original seasoning and Kikkoman Stir Frye Sauce.

Served on a bed of rice along side of a prepackaged Asian salad.

Relax and enjoy you home cooked and healthy Asian cuisine.

Light Cream of Potato Soup

This was a wonderful rainy December night soup. It is easy to make, yet tastes magnificent.

Served with salad. You could also serve baked croutons or biscuits if desired.

Make a pot and snuggle up with a loved one for a warm winter's night in.
